Wenatchee

Here we are in Wenatchee.  It was an eventful trip out here.  The wind blew in Minnesota as well as South Dakota like a cyclone with high gusts.  It was a struggle to retain the van on the road, but I persevered.  The next two days through Wyoming an Montana were much better.  We saw numerous antelope in Wyo, large herds of 10, 20 30 animals.  When we came to Montana the land altered as well as there were no more antelope.  The last day is a beautiful drive through the Clark Fork canyon as well as across the high plains of Washington.

Our arrival in Wentachee was greeted with hugs as well as kisses.  We have spent the days with Roxy as well as Mark, eating mostly.  Right now the girls are backing pies.  They didn’t have sufficient pie plates so a trip to the store was necessary.  Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, turkey with all of the trimmings.

Today Mark as well as I went to a sporting goods store to learn about local fishing.  The guy was real friendly as well as gave us a lot of info, which seems to be necessary out here.  You can fish in one place, but nobait, another place bait but but no barbs, another retain all you catch to the limit, but don’t catch more because of the fact that the fine is $50 per fish, etc., etc.  In any case the fish are plentiful as well as large.

I found an entire display of cowbells like we used on Square Lake but are not sold in Minn any more.  There were manystyles as well as sizes.  I have a set now.  The store has a wide range of fishing, hunting as well as camping gear, more than any store in St Paul.  And the prices are lower.

Yesterday a big flock of quail were feeding in the back yard.  Oh, they come every day!

What a marvelous place.
